Definition

Cottagecore is a moodboard that became a tribe. It was born on Tumblr, exploded in the pandemic: the fantasy of a slow life, almost always without the real labour of the field. There is sewing, there is a recipe, there is a refusal of the city. There is also visual gentrification. Dark academia is the library cousin; cottagecore is the garden cousin.
