Not safe for work: a warning that the content does not belong on an open office screen.
Definition
NSFW is a workplace-risk label. It can be sex, gore, or just a meme HR will not forgive. NSFL (not safe for life) raises the tone. SFW is the opposite. The acronym does not describe the content: it describes the context in which it leaks. In a forum, a title without NSFW when it should have one is a serious miss.
