A character quiet from shyness, who opens to few people: silence that is not ice, it is dan (黙).
Definition
Dandere is the cute selective-mutism trope. Speaks little, attaches to one interlocutor, explodes into a sentence when fear drops. Distinct from kuudere: it is not composure, it is inhibition. The West stacks the deres into crush typology.
