What does Time blindness mean?

Difficulty sensing time passing: five minutes and two hours weigh the same until lateness arrives.

  • Circulation: medium

  • Translatable: yes

Definition

Time blindness is a metaphor, not ophthalmology. ADHD communities use the image for an inner clock that does not warn. Alarms, body doubling and visual anchors are crutches. The word takes lateness out of manners and puts it in perception. It does not erase other people's cost when a time was agreed.

Origin

English from ADHD outreach.

History

From the informed clinic to the I'll be there in 5 meme.

How it emerged

Late again needed a name that was not only disrespect.
