Definition

Moe (萌え) is budding. In otaku speech it describes the reaction to a trait — a voice, a fringe, helplessness, competence. It became an adjective of design (moe blob) and of market. It is not only cute: it is a specific taste the fan learned to classify. Waifu is the playful civil status; moe is the instant.
